Jason Klumb joins KBS Group as Principal

KBS Group today announced that Jason Klumb joined the company as a principal, expanding the company’s bipartisan outreach.

KBS founder, former U.S. Senator Kit Bond said, “Our team has known and worked with Jason for years throughout his various roles in the state and federal government and we are thrilled to add such a respected and knowledgeable professional to our team.”

Prior to joining the firm, Klumb’s distinguished record spans the administration, state government, military, and private sector. President Obama appointed Klumb as the Regional Administrator for the U.S. General Services Administration. In this role, Klumb managed federal employees and customers across four Midwest states and provided space in 500 facilities for over 60,000 people during his tenure. Before his time at GSA, Jason, an attorney, held a number of positions, including serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Missouri State Attorney General’s Office, and elected to two terms in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Jason holds a JD from MU and recently received a PhD in Public Administration from UMKC. He also brings his experience in the U.S. military, currently as a Colonel in the Air National Guard JAG Corps.

After more than 40 years in public office serving the State of Missouri as Governor and United States Senator, Kit Bond formed the company in January 2011. Former U.S. Congressman Kenny Hulshof joined KBS in 2015 after 12 years in the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2021, former U.S. Congressman John Shimkus joined the firm after two decades in Congress.
