Moran Alum George Redden Joins KBS Group

KBS Group today announced that George Redden joined the company as the head of the DC office.

KBS founder, former U.S. Senator Kit Bond said, “Our team has gotten to know George from his time in the Senate and he not only brings the policy chops to the table, but also the energy that will make him a tremendous asset to our clients.”

Chairman of the firm, former U.S. Representative Kenny Hulshof, said, “George is a tremendous talent, and we are excited to have him a part of the KBS Group.”

Prior to joining the firm, Redden worked for Kansas Senator Jerry Moran for six years. As a senior policy aide, he advised the Senator on a range of issues, with a special focus in amateur and professional sports, consumer protection, law enforcement, and immigration.

Redden’s portfolio in the Senator’s office included work on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, and the Senate Committee on Appropriations.

His work also included engagement with the Executive Branch, including Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Consumer Product Safety Commission, and other agencies.

Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Redden moved to Wichita in middle school and continues to call it home. Redden graduated with a degree in Political Science from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS.

After more than 40 years in public office serving the State of Missouri as Governor and United States Senator, Kit Bond formed the company in January 2011. Former U.S. Congressman Kenny Hulshof joined KBS in 2015 after 12 years in the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2021, former U.S. Congressman John Shimkus joined the firm after two decades in Congress.
