Take Me Out to the Ball Park!
The team at KBS has spent a little time this summer enjoying our national pastime!
Former Governor and U.S. Senator (and KBS Founder) Kit Bond attended the St. Louis Cardinals v. Milwaukee Brewers game in August, celebrating the 40-year anniversary of the Cardinals’ 1982 World Series win. The iconic 1982 Cardinals world-champion team was honored along with former GM/manager Whitey Herzog, and 21 players from that team. The 1982 victory was the ninth World Series crown in franchise history. Family members were on hand to represent late stars Bob Forsch, Darrell Porter and David Green for the championship ceremony.
Kit enjoyed the chance to visit with Missouri Governor Mike Parson and Golden Glove recipient and celebrated Cardinal baseball player Ozzie Smith. The Cards won the series against the Brewers 2-1.
